The last ten years or so have brought an increase in the number of people who use the Internet, the amount of information on it, and the speeds in which we access it. With broadband becoming increasingly commonplace, the new frontier seems to be increasing the way we access it. In this case, though, calling it wireless broadband Internet is somewhat of a misnomer, since the download speeds are often slower than what can be had even with home dialup access. Still, if there’s a time when you need a connection right away, wireless broadband Internet with a mobile phone can provide constant access to e-mail and other useful information. But whether you use cellular technology, a wireless card, or a satellite, wireless broadband Internet access is spreading, allowing you to access the Internet in places where it hasn’t been so easy to do.
